I just experienced this helping my aging parents replace broken phones. EVERYTHING in the process was unbelievably complex. Apps & codes provided didn't work. Hours on calls w tech support giving inaccurate guidance. My parents could never have managed this on their own. I miss the functional world.

Just trying to imagine a parallel world where the all dominant rightwing media in the UK and USA spend as much time running stories to get people angry about unnecessary road deaths as they do about immigration. What a different policy environment we would have.

Most local parties are run by people who've done the job for years because no one stepped up. So step up.

There is a MASSIVE leadership vacuum at the local level almost everywhere outside major cities. Fill it.

We forget that advocacy is really marketing & converting people to our team. The emotional experience of the listener is paramount.
