John- we have functioning steenbecks that we allow patrons to watch certain films on (after showing them how to use it) and also still splice tape & film pretty regularly... as to the microfilm quip by the other person- we have people using ours multiple times daily...

My ipad serves the adverts in games in spanish because i live in Harlem. But I don't live in the deeply Spanish speaking part of it.
There are probably more Chinese & Hindi speakers than Spanish ones my street. It's kind of weird.

I'm watching it too. When i was in Milwaukee two of the theatre people i worked with lot wrote & put on a play about this story... it is a fascinating one.

I think I'm going to give $ to grownyc, which runs the farmer's markets I go to. They take ebt & convert it to tokens so the individual farmer's don't have to add the tech to their own systems.

I don't really care which one - though i do really love it being light late in the summer - i just wish they'd choose one and stop switching back and forth.
