As a REES and Comparative Religion MU alum- both on the chopping block- this is highly concerning
The idiocy of cutting a Russian and Eastern European Studies major at the prestigious Havighurst Center in the middle of the Russo-Ukrainian War when NATO and China are involved boggles my mind. I wonder what my Sovietologist ex-boss the late Dan Jacobs and the late Karen Dawisha would have thought.
Everyone, but especially those who care about & value higher ed, should be watching the cuts, firings, consolidations at so many universities and colleges, humanities so often on the chopping block: Miami University considers cutting 18 majors facing low enrollment www.dispatch.com/story/news/e...
