I had the same thing happen to me last week!

Love it!

Of course, which makes so little sense since the vast majority of Piedmont shoppers either are not arriving by car or park off Piedmont.

Are these engineering challenges though?

Why is it an engineering challenge?

Interesting. Strange that it was designed that way.

There’s only one bus line on Piedmont so even if buses were allowed it would be very few vehicles. And the 12 only runs on a short segment of Piedmont.

I have no idea but wouldn’t be surprised if you were right.

We moved out of the area when my wife was pregnant and I’m so glad we avoided navigating the street frequently with a stroller.

I highly recommend it! We take a long weekend trip to Sacramento every year and love it every time. Old Town near the train station is super walkable and the transit is decent too so it’s easy to go car-free.

That would be amazing! But why stop there?

Do you live near one of the BART stations? The Capitol Corridor station is connected to Richmond BART.

High speed rail will be a game changer!

I just wish we would have invested properly in it so that it wouldn’t be so many years away from being completed.

I’ve taken it more than 100 times and it’s still just as enjoyable 😊
November 8, 2025 at 9:33 PM
Oh no! I’ve never had that happen, it’s always been pretty accurate.

No, but Contra Costa County Library used to have library lending machines at 2 BART stations: www.bart.gov/news/article...

Here's a thread I wrote earlier this year with details on El Cerrito's homeless outreach team and our investment in the Housing Security Fund:

bsky.app/profile/rebe...
Yesterday, the El Cerrito Council approved a second year of a pilot program for a homeless outreach team and investment in the Housing Security Fund.

This critical program has provided services, moved people into housing, and prevented people from becoming homeless.
