I love knitting baby hats for charity; my son received one 22 years ago and it is one of the reasons why I wanted to learn to knit.

This week’s knitting has been for our hospital region…they are accepting baby hats again to give to each newborn.

Do I love the trend of big companies - in this case Red Heart - following indie dyer trends?
Not a whole lot, no.
Will I buy indie yarn *and* the RH yarn and use both in the appropriate situations?
Yeah, because I live in a world where mass-produced acrylic is sometimes the correct option. 🧶

No I did not finish the other socks but since I had to put them on waste yarn for my husband to check fit (designing as I go) I started a pair for my son’s birthday and this is why every knitter should have multple sets of @kollagesquare.bsky.social DPNs!

Ahh…the breakfast of champions, or at least of this middle-aged AuDHD Jewish woman!
Tylenol for the aches, Concerta for the ADHD, and 200mg of caffeine to boost the Concerta and wake me up.
Why a caffeine pill? So I do not just sip on coffee all day but instead have to hydrate 😌😆

So I decided I needed to make things more complicated, meaning I learned the Norwegian Purl stitch to do a pCVS (purl contrast vertical strand) cable.
Seeing as how these socks are all my husband will be getting for his birthday they should be special 😆

So I decided I needed to make things more complicated, meaning I learned the Norwegian Purl stitch to do a pCVS (purl contrast vertical strand) cable.

This doesn't look like much, I realise - but it's the first time I've actually knit a stitch since last Saturday.
I've been in the middle of a horrid disability flare, but today I was able to put on my right sock all by myself, even if I did need help w/the left one!
