Labour Calderdale tried to stop gritting 50% of the roads to save money. Got pushback +LibDem councillors found they hadn't followed procedures. U-turn. Putting up the signs cost £5k. They had the 727 signs in store from last abortive attempt to introduce this policy in 2017. Cost £7k? Madness.
