I was told by our Island County health records department that I would have to petition the courts to change my name on my birth certificate — even though I’ve already changed my name through those same courts.

If you order a new Birth Certificate it will have the SAME name as you were born with. This is REGARDLESS of a name change through marriage, divorce or name change court order.

So I just learned something very interesting to women (or others) who have changed their name and want to get a new birth certificate in preparation for the SAVE ACT 2025.

I love to watch for mushrooms in the woods where I take my daily walks. I’m not very interested in eating them, but enjoy discovering where they are hiding and their immense variety.

A good friend of mine is learning to play the ukulele so I thought she should have a special strap.
This is a card woven strap using an ancient Egyptian pattern called Rams Horn. I wove it using pearl cotton threads almost as fine as sewing thread.
