Michigan. College football. Great Lakes stuff. Humor. Dad sighs. Idealistic pragmatism.
Thujone-esque. Splendid.

As for the oven, this thing wants to catch fire. When I turned circuit back on, resumed smoking immediately.

H/t to wife for making homemade caramel drizzle on the propane burner outside on our 30 degree Michigan day. Team effort.

Additional details: Killed power to the oven to eliminate fire risk. Reheated a different gravy made earlier that morning using turkey breakfast sausage. Sides ended up cooking perfectly except the marshmallow which puffed but didn’t brown. Grabbed butane torch from garage and manually toasted them.

Wife made it three years ago and it’s now a tradition. Great mix of crunchy and soaked. Absolutely unreal.

Dammit, Spencer. I was just trying to drink some coffee on a sunny porch. Another incredible opener.

Things get turned upside down, but you get some really unexpected beautiful moments. Volunteering to do night bottles to rock a sleeping kid while listening to Fullcast After Dark. Napping together through a lazy afternoon slate. Celebrating in silence when Ohio State yaks a big one to Purdue. Etc.

“But why are his chaps so big?”

They’re filled with fish. You think Ol’ Pete is walking someone in bassless chaps?

It’s rare, but sometimes I want to know what the realistic tiers are and it helps to see “ah, the top level is $1000, the two middle options are $600 and $400, and then there’s tons of crap I don’t want at $200 that I don’t want to wade through”.

Also, a chance to laugh at whoever is paying top $
