One fountain said “whites” on it while the other said “Blacks”. My grandma drank from the “Blacks” fountain. I will always be proud of my Indigenous & Black lineage. ✊🏽🪶

Indigenous people are not “gate-keeping” in asking to keep some terminology like 2S for themselves since it is tied to their own unique traditional & cultural beliefs. It’s not “colonized thinking” for Native people to not want to share everything, including identity.
