The DNC is a meme. I'll skip the donations this time around and put them where actual competence exists.

Watching your debate was so funny. She couldn't string a single coherent sentence together. The fact she was considered a legitimate candidate bewildered me. Then she won and I had to take a sabbatical.

Best of luck this time around. May the best woman with a minimum 8th grade reading level win.

Does anyone else feel like the tens of millions in military equipment en route to DC is not for a parade? Are they about to play their hand?

The most impossible thing about this franchise is that after a bit of a slump in the middle, the last film is as good as if not better than the original. One of the most exciting movies I've ever seen, and I literally yelled at the screen when it ended with a cliffhanger.

The vast majority of sitting Democrats might as well be Republicans. If they don't leave the party, the rest of us will.

Congratulations, and may you sell your squat*bench*deadlift copies of your book.

That's what I've heard too. The brief wave of conservativism seems to be breaking (outside the US at least) so I'm curious if Catholicism will mirror the world and select another progressive like Francis or have their own last gasp, like what I hope the Trump administration proves to be.

It's a good opportunity for the Catholic church to show their commitment - to progress, or to whatever this other thing is called.

Was looking through a list of jobs with the GA health dept yesterday...many of them are in the 20-40k range. Really pathetic they expect people with degrees to work for the state for less than the already unlivable median income. You could do better at a fast food joint these days.

NPR lost me when they refused to even mention Bernie Sanders by name during the 2016 primary ("Hillary Clinton and her opponents") despite him leading some polls. Then I found they get far more funding from corporations than pledge drives. No idea if they've changed since then. Burn me once...

“We're working on additional fixes to model personality and will share more in the coming days,” CEO Sam Altman said in a post on X.

What this really means is they're trying to find a way to accomplish the same thing (sycophancy) without being as obvious.

As a resident of the Bible belt, I can tell you many "Christians" I've met don't even own a Bible, much less read it. Many don't attend church or give a single moment's thought to their actions. It's purely performative, used to determine hierarchy among in-groups and exclusion among out-groups.

Take your logic to it's natural conclusion and see where that leads.

The fact they have become so militarized in the first place is criminal. Complete overhaul needed for sure.
