Of course Gabe Perreault gets called up after I said this on our most recent episode. Still would prefer he take his time, but I’m certainly not upset bc #NYR could use an injection of offense. He’s been unreal in Hartford. Needs to be top 6 & given long leash, so he can thrive & stick

I know Mika Zibanejad was better last year on JT Miller’s wing, but this #NYR team is so much deeper up front if Mika is a center

This is important to note about Gavrikov if/when #NYR gets him signed . It wasn’t just the LA defensive system that makes him look so good. Definitely good to see that even on a bad team he was posting good underlying numbers

Welp here we go. Kreider being dealt felt inevitable since halfway through this past season. It really sucks its has come to this. Figured he would be a lifetime Ranger & have name in rafters. That said, it’s very necessary. #NYR needs this cap space. This is step 1 in retooling

Trying to not get my hopes up on some big moves bc last offseason I did when Trouba looked like he was on the move then nothing happened & zapped any excitment level going into the season. But def seems like a lot smoke with #NYR ahead of draft/free agency. Color me intrigued

So Peca goes to Chicago. He won’t be part of Sullivan’s staff. Have to think Muse will though. Interesting Vellucci is part of running to be on Chicago staff as well despite being long time assistant with Sully. #NYR

As pretty much all new coaches do during their introductory press conferences, Mike Sullivan said all the right things. This one particularly stood out to me. Evident he will want to bring everyone together again & build a culture. We will see once camp opens what happens. #NYR

Certainly didnt expect Sullivan to be an option since it seemed like he’d never leave PIT. What a bonus for #NYR that he finally became available when they needed a coach. Type of leader they need behind bench, can command a room, & create a better culture they badly need

It’s game 73, and the other Wild Card teams keep opening the door for #NYR . Will they finally adjust or be the same easy team to play against? As I said this week, teams must love playing against them

Soucy has shown to be a good shutdown D his whole career. This year has been rough, but Vancouver has been a total mess, so have to hope, similar to Borgen, that he bounces back on #NYR

This is a solid return for #NYR . Would’ve been happy with a 2nd for Lindgren & 4th for Vesey. So Drury nailed it there. Then you get some added depth in Parssinen & warm body in de Haan to help for rest of the year

Wow. #NYR had no choice but to get something from Lindgren since he wasnt going to be here next yr. Good on Drury to not be fooled by being close to playoffs & doing right thing. Vesey also wasn’t long for this team & wanted out. Curious on the draft picks

What a game the other night,. NYR seems to be turning a corner here. Great road win vs one of the best teams in league. Nice to see them get rewarded for good play again & finally stack 2 in a row. Shesterkin came up huge when needed
