Bakugo's story began as a kid who was top of the world, to being humbled, back to being on the top but with better clarity on how a hero should be. All For One began his story as an over powered villain who was humbled by a boy who let go of that ego. There was no one more appropriate to beat him.

But this time Bakugo isn't trying to beat All For One to prove he's anything. This isn't him trying to prove he's better than anyone, nor is it to convince anyone he's the best. For once his desires are selfless and takes on a man who has everything with his own power-

But Bakugo proves him wrong by stepping up despite the pain he's in. In this instance Bakugo has become the most annoying person to All For One. It's especially fitting when All For One can only see Bakugo as a previous user of OFA, who ALSO got in the way of his plans for villainy-

So how does this relate back to how fitting Bakugo vs All For One is? Because these are characters going through the complete opposite directions for their character arc. Especially when considering unlike everyone from his childhood, All For One thought Bakugo was just a pebble-

This is led up beautifully with Bakugo finally apologizing to Deku for everything he put him through. Bakugo recognizes how important Deku is, but wants to reach out to someone whose now in THEIR most vulnerable state mentally and emotionally-

It's not until the eventual rematch he has where we see him at his most vulnerable. Despite how awful he was to others the one person he admired more than anyone was All Might. And thinking he ended the career of his favorite hero broke him mentally and emotionally-

It wasn't until the boy he taunted and wished was dead finally received a power is where he starts getting humbled. Deku was able to stand his ground against him, and even his class at first thought he wasn't shit. Bakugo unfamiliar with this environment was slowly losing it-

This fight is the best way to showcase Bakugo's growth as a character. He started the series with a superiority complex because everyone gassed him up as a child for having an awesome quirk. And because of that he felt he was naturally better than everyone-

I know when the series ended I heard plenty of people say Horikoshi was "washed" but his talent as a writer was still there, and the fight between Bakugo and All For One shows how he knows what he's doing-
