Happens a lot. Don’t think anyone really likes it, but it has been reluctantly ‘accepted’ if not ‘acceptable’ due to huge budget pressures and the challenges of accommodating part-time working.

In my experience, rules are certainly in place and appropriate sanctions used, but some children benefit from therapies to help them comply with rules and communicate more effectively. It shouldn’t be blanket either/or.
