Flying trees... From our living room, we're looking at an allotment garden. Some of the trees on the waterside were sick and had to be removed. Due to a lack of space, the trees were cut down, hoisted over our apartment buildings and cut into pieces on the street.

Fun night at Cinetol Amsterdam . "The Trinity of Queer" , with 3 performances by queer artists: Wendy Moore, Ryan Song and Stemin.

I finished part 5 of the Holiday House SAL by SatsumaStreet. The latest addition is the top right part, with the polar bear with the stocking, the wreath and candle, and the cardinal on the chimney. The final part is already printed, so I'm ready to finish this one.

Fun movie afternoon together with my friend Twan today. We watched "Bugonia" from Yorgos Lanthimos, with Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons. A surprisingly entertaining dark comedy alien invasion movie, with some very funny unexpected twists

I've seen Dutch artist Wende several times live already, and every time she amazes me. What a great and powerful show tonight TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.
Hope to see her soon again, because every show is different.

Fun day today at the Queer Tattoo Fest in Amsterdam. Didn't get a tattoo myself, but I did get a lot of inspiration, stickers and business cards, so soon I will certainly get a new one!

Finished reading 2 books this week. First one is this coffee table book "Erwin Olaf: Freedom" that I bought at the exhibition at Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. Beautiful book, with lots of photos that I didn't see in his other books or at the expo ->

Spotted this quilt and patchwork pillows in a scene from the movie "Fairyland" by Andrew Durham. The story is about a young girl growing up in San Francisco in the '70s and '80s with her gay dad.

Important day today: it's election day in the Netherlands. We can vote for a new government. Usually we vote every 4 year, but the last government didn't finish it's term, so the previous election was 2 years ago. Fingers crossed for a more stable and social outcome today.

Loved seeing the Erwin Olaf expo "Freedom" at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Next to his well known photoseries, there's also a lot on display of his earlier work and publications. Seeing his work really touched me, I even got emotional when we exited the museum...

My latest book finish is this M/M romance novel "Heated Rivalry" by Rachel Reid. Two rival hockey stars fall madly in love, but fear for their carreers if this comes out.
This spicy lovestory will soon turn into a 6 part tv series, starting somewhere this November.

Due to a rather busy schedule the last couple of days, I haven't had a lot of time to work on this one, so I won't finish part 3 in time before Friday. But that's okay of course, it's not a race. The snowman and woman are nearly done, and below them something else will appear. Pattern: SatsumaStreet

The opening was at 5 p.m. and during the ceremony the 3 of us walked with one of the flags to the podium, and we helped to reveal the other flag. There was a queer choir performance, lots of beautiful drag performances, an educational drag bingo, food trucks, and of course the beautiful exhibition.

October 11 is Coming Out Day, and at the Textielmuseum in Tilburg it was the start of their new exhibition "Hause of fibre", an exhibition by queer artists.
