Lol, Be me: setup BlueSky acct to meet other infosec people. Spend hours looking for other accts that look like they post technical infosec stuff to follow. Add a few intro posts. Get marked "spam". Nice.

Got laid off a few months ago, but I find myself on a tropical island with a fair bit of financial runway. Taking the opportunity to decompress and make sure the next step is more aligned to my goals and not just one of a narrow set of choices life offers at the moment.

When life makes a big choice for you, it's good to take a moment to look backwards and think about how you got to this time and place before deciding on what's next.

All good things ... but the things sure were good :)
