He/Him

I play games and try to discover catalysts.
#Arcane season 2 ended up being extremely disappointing. Episode 7 was one of the best of the series but overall act 3 is a rushed mess with insane logical leaps. Too many diverging stories that came together at the very end leaving little time for emotional development.

I haven't played Black Myth Wukong, so I won't comment on that game, but UFO 50, Animal Well, Mouthwashing, Tekken 8, and Prince of Persia all deserve a Game of The Year spot more than Metaphor, Rebirth, and Shadow of the Erdtree (Astro Bot deserves to stay though, 100%)

I loved Arcane Season 1 and I like Season 2 so far but I can't help but feel it's putting plot over characters at a balance I'm not a huge fan of. The pacing feels too fast and character moments just happen. I don't want to give spoilers but act 2 of season 2 seems the most rife with this issue.

As an Eastern Conference Fan, it's unacceptable that 3rd in the East is 11th in the West. I don't care that it's still early in the season, this is woefully unbalanced. #NBA

Prey (2017) is the greatest immersive sim game ever made. It is also Arkane's best game and the best Bethesda published game.
What's some objectively minor hill you had committed to die on in the Before Times that you'll still die in defense of, dammit?

e.g., Dead Poets Society is a terrible movie to begin with and a deeply toxically terrible movie about teaching.

I can't help but think that the book would be doubled in length if it didn't end so shortly after the the buying and rebranding of Twitter, as everything it posits is a danger happened and then some.
I've been reading Adrienne L. Massanari's new book: Gaming Democracy - How Silicon Valley Leveled Up The Far Right.

It's a decent chronicle of the clear but underdiscussed ramp that the internet had in the far right becoming the mainstream ideology of the Republican Party. Slight Recommend.
