I agree with Tom, it's catastrophic to further distort the political "conversation" in the USA with *more* propaganda. How many Russia analysts have to tell you all that's how you build a nihilistic and untrusting polity. It's insane. Facts and good journalism are absolutely the correct medicine.

It appears that all of the incentive structures are in place to continue the autocratic project, plus the public at large has shown insufficient resistance. Americans would rather stay at home and watch TV and keep their down. Heading down the Russia path.

I don't have consummate knowledge of the NYT, but I am familiar with some of their more controversial articles in the Before Times, such as the Iraq war. They have very little credibility for domestic politics now. The NYT are pro-regime from my perspective, and the regime is now MAGA.

Yeah, like the last one. The last line of defense that Hamas had was hostages, so Israel successfully took that away. There was speculation why Ben Gvir and Smotrich went along with the ceasefire in the first place but it was for that purpose, I imagine. Israel is a terror state & can't be trusted
