"The Autoplay feature on YouTube makes it easier to decide what to watch next." This is a ridiculous lie. Google obviously didn't create autoplay in response to customer demand for assistance in deciding what to watch next. They did it to increase engagement.

Maybe fanfiction writers will all use AI & accept this fact, but viciously accuse each other about how much of the task they give away — e.g. "you don't *understand* the AI-written metaphors in your own stories"

Hmm, I'm wondering what 'non-expert' means and how much work it's doing. I found some of their data here: osf.io/53qcr . Looking through them, I feel confident that I could pick out 100% of the AI poems, because they all rhyme and also are bad. Can't figure out how to do a blinded test but...
