Agreed! I’ll take international finance experience over lifetime politician.
Singh was great, chirping at PP and calling him out when he was clearly wrong/lying.

Rachel Gilmore is a beacon of sanity! Off to follow Paris Marx … Thanks

Wow. I … I actually don’t have an intelligent response for how awful that is.

Exactly. I like seeing a calm, measured, mature response, even in a debate. I’m fine with him not responding to ridiculous questions or outright lies. Why bother?

Some seemed to think it was at even or that PP responded better to certain questions. There was also a sense that Carney’s “regular person” vibe and inexperience in a debate might not be want Canadians want to see.
It’s so opposite the reactions I’m seeing online - seemed out of touch.

Oh! And we don’t get a scrum because Ezra and his Rebel cronies pitched a fit.

The CBC recap missed the mark for me; I honestly wondered if they watched the same debate I did?! Carney was solid - acted like a mature adult. PP was his smarmy self. Singh chirping at and fact checking PP was amazing.

Before rolling over and letting Rebel have many staff and questions last night because they threatened legal action, the Leaders Debate Commission didn’t even properly do their homework on Ezra. Incredible.

Six of the 17 reporters who asked questions came from Rebel News, True North, or Juno News.

I put a stainless steel coffee mug with a rubber handle in the microwave - similar reaction, pop then sparks
