The rotations and flexibility will be off the charts

And then Eze LW Calafiori everywhere everything all at once too it as well

Potential to be beautiful. Maybe just maybe Arteta's final vision does in fact have Wenger influences

And he spent record fees on the best + best suited players in VVD and Alisson

A poor workman never blames his tools doesn't apply to managers imo

Not to the top teams, maybe to everything below the elite level

You need the best/ best SUITED players at the top level, no way around that

Even Klopp needed really well suited players, even if they weren't the best

Idk where I'm going with this

In this era there's no one style the top managers can have. It's too competitive for that

They just have to have solutions for winning the next game

And again, for that, it's all about the tools they have --- the players

these big games are seperate events anyway, there's not much you can read from them imo. it's just a different idea of playing vs the other 17 (16?) match ups

and yes, you can still get ideas on the team - for example Guardiola against us was willing to drop deep, less of the ball - new for him

Guardiola Ljinders new system masterclass with 0.7 xG created

Game could have easily been 1-1....

Not saying it's not working, not saying City didn't deserve it, not saying they're not a good team. I'm just saying the result decided how we talk and read about it

narrative is so different though, cause of the scoreline. that too two goals from outside the box, one deflection. even Haaland header was a bit shady

twitter vs watching the football, completely different experience
November 13, 2025 at 9:23 AM
without the pen, it was a nothing game. 0.7 - 0.7 xG - how big games are going these days, cagey, not a whole lot of chances, moments of magic

whether you like it or not, this is the Arteta influence
November 13, 2025 at 9:23 AM
but actual football has to prevail

whether robertson is there or not, Donnarumma's action is going to be the same, and he's not getting to the ball. it's a goal

I hope Ljinders is writing his book this season too. Would love to hear what he says abt this Arsenal
November 13, 2025 at 6:32 AM
I guess it's actually always been, but this year particularly visible

SAF did this, Pep does it. Freshens ideas, new people in the backroom, probably has so many positives

A new mind in solving things, new energy while living together
