Worth noting that the Tories are begining to drop noticeably lower then their previous low points, they're currently on 18.9% which is a point lower then their previous historic low during the election

Fair to say Reform have opened up a fairly clear lead against Labour now.

First time a 3rd parties had a proper clear lead since the Alliance surge in 1982.

Tbh I'd be intrigued to see polling on a hypothetical new left party, putting aside my own veiws I do think it's one of the most interesting variables of this parliament and just something worth gauging. Also know it's a bit old but in 2016 there was about 14% of the electorate open to suporting one

Didn't realise how much Reform has gained traction on Tiktok over the past while and compared even to Corbyn or Sultana he's got a hell of a presence. Tbh those two should up their game there, they have contacts with Linke and should take notes from them about their election campaign.

Really concerned by how much I've returned to being a total Corbyn dead ender, like I've gone from the "oh well I kinda liked him but yeah his leadership had issues and maybe it's time to move on" to nostalgically watching that fucking Glastonbury video

Non zero chance the next election ends up with looking like this and tbh i feel like it'd be unimaginably stupid

Despite it being near my patch i don't really know Skircoat too well, get the vibe its slightly more affuent then the rest of Halifax but its got an interesting voting history. Traditionally a Tory stronghold it had swung to Labour over the past decade, didn't have too strong a UKIP presence either.

Kinda stuff Jeeza be up to instead of setting up a new party 😭

How has partisan opinion shifted in the eight months since the election?

Most notable is Reform's surge, which is actually quite flat in regional terms, with the most notable core differentiator being age - with Reform gaining more among older Britons, contrary to some assumptions.

The issue with Bluesky is that I get no engagement here and unfortunately I love attention

Badly need Fine Gael to be utterly embarrassed at this election, loathsome party
Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris was forced to apologize Saturday to a disability services worker for treating her dismissively — a self-destructive campaign moment that could cost him dearly in next week’s election.

Learning that Paul Mescal did the backing vocals for this has genuinely ruined my evening

Things are bad, but they can always get worse, so much more worse

I have nothing thoughtful to say, this is carrying on my longstanding commitment to saying nothing of any remote importance

Assessment of Bluesky, mediocre app, however its not run by a fascist, which is nice I guess

At least if Sinn Fein shit the bed there might be a bit of a reorganisation of the left
2 weeks until the Irish Election, this is where the polls stand!

Increasing thinking I might need to join some niche left wing party with like 3 members and agrees with all of my politics just to get it out of my system

John Fetterman is such a prick, putting aside the fact he's utterly vacuous and clearly has issues, he's just an annoying fuck

I love Tiramisu, it's the single most important thing in my life and frankly I'd do near to anything to have some

After careful consideration and consultations with Friends, family and colleagues I am announcing that I will not be running for Leader of Fine Gael.

While I am overwhelmed by the support, I do not feel that it would be right for me to seek this office at this time
