Twitter exodus of course | Seattle Sports | Good politics
I get having a quick trigger when it comes to blocking on here if someone seems like a maga troll. I guess if we’re at 22M users then it’s likely that a good portion are more sensitive former twitter users and idk that they’re necessarily setting the tone, but you’re more likely to interact w them.🤷🏽‍♂️

the local hospitals/clinics treat you better, the healthcare at the VA sucks, and the doctors are bottom of the barrel. Make no mistake, I think that they are wrong, full stop. But this wouldn’t elicit a pitchfork and torch mob from veterans the way that we think it should.

I believe what they’re suggesting is cutting the VA healthcare system and shopping its customer base out to local private care. There are a lot of veterans who actually want this and want everything to be commercial healthcare and not from gov. The thought is that the VA doesn’t care about you,

I do agree there are few markets where if surveyed people would say that their bill is unreasonably high.

About commodification of housing and addressed the property value crisis we have. Considering none of this will happen in next 10 years that should be plenty of time to start building new homes. lol

In a world where we have Gov insurance it’s likely based on factors such as income, relative property value, and risk factors. Owning a $1M home in CA shouldnt doom you to pay same rates as 1M in Ohio. Obviously I’m just making a world up, but in this scenario we probably should’ve done something

We should find a way to avoid passing the buck onto ordinary people. It could be argued that a government run insurance program would not have profit motives that include $22M to one singular person. Maybe there are other ways.

Sometimes people on your side are assholes every once in a while. I’ve been pretty clear that it was unnecessary, I have no problem admitting that. Enjoy your day, let’s check back in with each other after ‘26 midterms

I’m not a huge Joey swoll follower, but my guess is that we’d probably be disappointed to hear about his politics. But at the end of the day, body positivity from someone like him is valuable and always will be valuable.

You’re so right. I think as someone who has what would be considered an “average” body-type I see the whole thing as like pretty harmless, but I guess it really isn’t. I appreciate your perspective, esp the Blair white thing because that never did sit right w me, more or less this is the same thing
December 3, 2024 at 5:55 PM
Yeah I mean this whole thing has generally no impact on anyone’s lives. We’re all advocating for effectively the same outcome just different means by getting there.

You know I actually think I completely agree wi with you.
