Also my husband and I always go to La Lanterna when we are in town. I call it "romantic calzones", but they also have a literal flight of lasagnas! We also like Ippudo Ramen, which I know has a few locations now (if you go get the eggplant buns!)

When we are in the city, our fav thing is to get warm Levain cookies (the one on 77th/Amsterdam) and then walk through Central Park: enter at Strawberry Fields then down to the Bethesda Fountain to see the turtles and performers. If you want, you can walk through to the Met on the east side.

@delauro.house.gov calling for Reps to put their name on a bill and let their constituents see if they want to close the Dept of Ed is so powerful. We know the public doesn't support this and apparently they do too, if they are trying to hide their efforts.
