I've personally never seen JOE VERSUS THE VOLCANO, but it's my understanding that it's a cult classic and features the debut of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks as an on-screen couple. Island adventure games were a popular genre in the early 1990s, so I suppose it's no surprise that this came to GAME BOY. 🌋

It's hard to believe that there was a Game Boy game made four years too late to tie in with 1987's Filmation flop PINOCCHIO AND THE EMPEROR OF THE NIGHT, but there was!

The title of the movie SPACED INVADERS referenced an extremely popular early arcade game, so it was fitting that this B-movie saw a second life as a video game on the original Game Boy. 🔫👽👾

One of my favorite licensed Game Boy games was Cabin Boy, based on the 1994 cult classic starring Chris Elliott.
