When you consider pressure and sack rates along with play on the field, Dak is making a compelling case for MVP.

Dak’s having a monster year given how tight the windows have been. Shows how far just one more quality receiver can take him.

The Eagles landed an elite pass rusher in Jaelan Phillips, who added four more pressures last week against Detroit.

I have no idea if Tyler Shough or Spencer Rattler are any good, but it's not going to matter with tackles like these.

Caleb is holding the ball longer than anyone in the NFL, which has created a high pressure rate.

He's now far better at avoiding those pressures this season and is avoiding sacks almost twice as frequently as the next most elusive QB.

you aren't wrong

Most analysts exaggerate the impact of singular players on an NFL team that aren't quarterbacks. If anything, the Joe Alt discourse might be understating his impact.

Baker has faced the third most frequent pressure in the NFL despite having one of the quickest average time to pass in the NFL.

Daniel Jones is getting blitzed more often than anyone else in the league and has the highest DVOA against the blitz in the NFL.

Isaiah McGuire is getting a ton of benefit from playing on the same defensive line as Myles Garrett.

Joey Bosa has also been a great addition for the Bills so far.

Broderick Jones is under a lot of criticism in Pittsburgh as he's allowed the second-most initial pressures in the NFL through two weeks.

However, his average time to pressure is more consistent with those that have allowed about half the number of pressures.

Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts are among the most pressured quarterbacks in the NFL.

The difference is time to throw is notable.

The Packers defense has been absurdly good. They've been about 26 points better through just two games when Micah Parsons is on the field.

Some big named offensive lineman allowed pressures last week. Time to pressure matters, though, and falls largely on the quarterback, coach, and scheme rather than the offensive line.
September 11, 2025 at 11:20 PM
he was too low on the chart!
September 10, 2025 at 3:59 PM
JJ McCarthy and Jalen Hurts were under the most frequent pressure in Week 1. Jalen didn't help himself by taking 3.2 seconds to throw the ball on average, as usual.
