This wasn’t too surprising for me.

I think this could also be done with other routes as well. It would make the bus experience a lot less stressful, especially for less frequent routes. Maybe even timed connections from rail to bus as well.

Bus 4475 showed up a minute ago and actually stopped for me. I’m onboard the bus and it is dangerously full; hardly any room to stand and everyone is bumping into each other.

This was an issue with the J2 pre-redesign as well. Buses especially get crowded when high school gets out and end up being too full to pick up any passengers further down the line. Potentially running more trips during rush hour could help mitigate this issue. Or maybe articulated buses.

Only one of the buses was actually tracking. 4745 was the one that wasn’t tracking and was actually full. Bus 4648 was the one that was only about half full, but didn’t stop for me. And 4648 was 3 minutes early when it blew straight past my stop. I was waiting at stop 2000122.

Also, a bit more serious of an issue, but the eastbound stop East-West Hw+Grubb Rd (2001226) is missing the entire bus stop sign and post. It appears to be laying on the ground at the Ellingson Dr (2000155) stop.

And just to note, this is affecting all WMATA Metrobus routes, and it was working fine earlier. Metrorail is not affected.

Unfortunately, it seems to be doing this again. It’s saying that there are not any scheduled trips until Saturday.

Potomac Yard. Not just aesthetically, but because of its openness and amenities. It also has high end JBL speakers, really nice and easily accessible restrooms, secure bike storage, redundant elevators, and ample lighting.

Turns out it was some other trip. A bus showed up on the westbound M70 5 minutes later and left as soon as everyone boarded.

This happened again just now. Westbound M70 left Silver Spring 3 minutes early.

Saw that same train as well. Here it is passing by Montgomery College TPSS.

Also the buses on the M70 are completely packed during rush hour. Maybe consider deploying articulated buses during rush hour. Bus isn’t even one stop into the route and there are no seats available.
