The sensor is indeed slightly larger, 3mm, but it does appear to be made for "cheaper" phones. The interface is notably slower. Capable of 10 frames per second compared to 15 on the Samsung, and the autofocus on the Sony is supposedly also the older dual pixel phase detection for autofocus.

That is the main reason he's now the team principal. Because he's taking the second free salary exception from the cost cap, while Alonso is taking the other. There is no money to hire another big name, unless you want them to drive around in cardboard box cars.

Like it or not. Lance isn't going anywhere. It's his daddy paying for it all. Alonso is probably retiring in a year or two. Also, I think you're over-valuating what Newey can do. 8 of his championships were more down to Red Bull having two of the greatest drivers in history to work with.

I mean, you should have been around in the '80s or early '90s if Stroll triggers you as a billionaire's son buying a drive. Back then, that was how the sport was funded. Drivers being lapped more than once. Eventually they had to enforce a 107% rule, because it was unsafe for everybody.

The Honda thing seems to be mostly a name sponsor deal, on Mercedes powertrains. They lost interest as they couldn't compete, remember. :)

For obvious reasons, Lance is untouchable. His dad started the team because Lance said he wanted to be an F1 world champion. Like it or not, Alonso is the support driver in the team. He was hired to help develop a car Lance can win in.

The BBC haven't broadcast F1 for almost two decades. It's the Sky Sports feed, which is the most comprehensive feed. Sky Sports made F1 what it is today. They went all-in and created a dedicated 24/7 channel covering the sport. And this was clearly not the point. ESPN is NFL, NHL, NBA, golf, UEFA...
