So many sushi spots around, it’s hard to have poor quality and maintain customers. At least, that was my guess when I lived there.

The only feedback I got from the TA was:
“I doubt you understand what it means to experience emotion.”
I still think about that statement, >20 years later.

I’m not remotely qualified enough to have an opinion on this. But it reminds me of an essay I wrote for a college Cog Sci class where I argued that robots might experience emotions someday, if you view emotions provide functional value on driving behavior change and offer an analogous mechanism.
