Fell in love with Newsom in 2004 when he tried to enact gay marriage as the new mayor of SF. There didn’t seem to be a political upside for him at the time, just seemed like he genuinely wanted to do the right thing. Naive I know. I forgave him so much over the years because of that. Not anymore.
