alao there are still many laundromats in japan, those are also viable to wash your clothes, they have better machines than hotels and are often cheaper, bit you have to go outside to to laundry

most hotels in japan have washing machine so you can get away with 1 week of clothes plus a bit of spares if you are willing to spend lile an afternoon washing clothes and staying close to the hotel
