I was hoping for a #bench PR. Easily opened at 137.5kgs (302lbs) but misgroved 145kgs on second, was able to press on third attempt (145 again) but got called on my butt leaving the bench. Redemption in Norway!

This past week I competed at my 6th Canadian National #Powerlifting championship. Maybe not the final results I was looking for but learning a lot about building my own strength, both physical and mental. Next stop Norway for the World Bench Press championship in May.

Fun interaction in the gym this morning. Pulled a 475lb/215kg single #deadlift with a young lad watching. I said it was his turn after, but he said he’d never be able.
Never say never. It wasn’t that long ago that I couldn’t do that either! #powerlifting #neversaynever #keeplifting #strength

Saturday morning #Powerlifting
Bar speed singles edition.
Feeling my strength coming back and beat my 2024 National numbers. Nice to be in 200kg squat territory again and 3 plate bench press.
