Battle of the Bookstores by Ali Brady

4.25⭐

📱

It took some time for me to understand and like Josie. It was the perfect rivals-to-lovers narrative. There is a lot of miscommunication. If you dislike that trope, this isn't the book for you.

Trans History: A Graphic Novel: From Ancient Times to the Present Day by @alexlcombs.bsky.social

4.75⭐

📖

I adore the variety of history this one has. It demonstrates how transness is not a new concept. It has beautiful illustrations paired with a ton of helpful information.

I thought this one was so fun, and the narration truly made this book shine! I was laughing so much! This is the quintessential summer romance perfect for the season! It is genuinely one of the most amusing books I have ever read.

What a way to end this incredible and empowering series! The quirkiness and comedy from this incredible cast of characters came to a head with this book. I found myself laughing at so many moments. Her humor shone in this book.

Sweet On You by Dani Galliaro

4.5⭐

🎧

Wow, oh wow, did this book have a dynamic start. The book I didn't know I needed. I do want to applaud the little things about this book, including a helpful map and a nice, varied playlist. I admire the cat Stormy bonding the MCs.

Midnights With You by Clare Osongco

3⭐

🎧

Not all that memorable. I'm sorry, but the plot with the mom is insane. (This is genuinely all I wrote in May 😅)

The Greatest of These by Erin FitzGerald

4.75⭐

📱

I can say that by far my favorite part of this book (and series thus far) is Donna's meddling. Reading this has felt like coming home. Erin demonstrated that she is a master at blending in thrilling elements to her romances.

Wild Love by Elsie Silver

Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney

3.75⭐

🎧

This one unfortunately did not live up to the hype for me. It was only so-so. The characterization is not what I hoped it would be.

The Woman in Me by Britney Spears

4⭐

🎧

Not gonna say much as it is a life story, but I was honestly expecting a bit more from it. I wanted to hear more about how she's grown from the bullshit she's experienced. I am very happy she got the chance to speak for herself.

Book 66 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

Destructively Mine by Krista and Becca Ritchie

5⭐

📱

I am thoroughly obsessed with this book & characters. They are the perfect morally grey characters that have me totally rooting for them while still questioning their choices. This one is even more twisted than the first.

Book 65 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

Beneath the Stands by Emily McIntire

3⭐

🎧

I started absolutely loving this book, then, everything took a turn, and I started liking it less and less. Both of them are awful people by the end, yet we are supposed to see them as redeemed, which I simply cannot do.

Book 64 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

You're Invited by Amanda Jayatissa

4.5⭐

🎧

I loved the initial calm yet eerie vibe. The complicated relationships & spread of gossip propelled the narrative wonderfully. I totally thought I knew where the book was going, but the twists at the end truly threw me for a loop.

Beg, Borrow, or Steal by Sarah Adams

Needless to say, I loved this one! This series will always have my heart. I think their dynamic is my favorite in the series. Something about them just seems so perfectly matched, I can't explain it.

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty

4.75⭐

🎧

This was a fascinating narrative about the life of a crematory operator. Her tone of voice is so clear in her writing. The respect she has for everyone is wonderful to see.

This one is a children's picture book, but I thought Pig the Pug was a great read. The cover freaks me out, though

Family Face-Off by Devon Glenn

4.5⭐

📱

It was a solid activity book with a variety of ideas! I liked that some are easy to set up, while others are more intensive. The variety means that there will be something for everyone! I have tried a few and quite enjoyed each of them.

Book 60 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

However You Want Me by @willowwintersbooks.bsky.social & Amelia Wilde

4.25⭐

🎧

This one is short, spicy, and intense. If you are looking for a book that will suck you in, rip out your heart, & make you blush, this one will. The blend of spice & dark plot is skillfully done.

All Signs Point to Malibu by Jennifer Snow

2.5⭐

🎧

Plain bad. I hated the FMC; she barely developed the entire story and was massively annoying and an asshole. I got totally confused about whose perspective I was in throughout.

How to End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang

4.5⭐

🎧

I quite enjoyed this one and loved the character development, especially. The one part that didn't quite work for me is how, given their past, I cannot imagine Helen ever forgiving Grant to the point of finding him attractive

Book 56 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

Deep End by Ali Hazelwood

4 ⭐

🎧

The first third was so meh, then it got better. I appreciated when their life circumstances really mattered and shaped their decisions and mannerisms in a much more realistic way. The quips and healthy communication were my favorite parts.

Heartbreak Beach by Bailey Thomas

2.25 ⭐

📱

This book was truly terrible and made me mad. The blurb makes the book sound so much more exciting than it ever was. The one pro is the fast pacing is consistent and helps bring the reader along on the wild narrative.

When Ivy Met Adam by @jenniferjcoldwater.bsky.social

A delightful queer story with bisexual and trans rep. I applaud her for portraying gay panic perfectly. There was a lot of realism in this story, which I appreciated. It was a pretty simple & nice narrative
