It took them 8 months to find a point at which no one would report on it.

A week on, I'm mainly seeing what I want to on Insta. Weird. LinkedIn even has a "clickbait" option for ignoring content - social media has glimmers of hope.

I have noticed this. I’ve switched off a bunch of the usual politics people I follow, as I just want to see hobby stuff/friends posts, but I feel my data set is going to be skewed for a bit.

I’m sure they’ll say “we got that one wrong”, right?!

"Yeah, that’s a *pretty* weird answer" - ummmm...must be the first time he's given a weird answer ;)

Another great pod. It's part of my Sunday routine. I've noticed that the Reform scandal is getting minimal coverage. If a Labour MP was in the same situation, Chris 'n' Laura at the BBC would be having a meltdown, spaffing out story after story.

I just saw a post on Facebook from LBC about the chap who survived the plane crash, followed by 1000s of comments. Whilst I appreciate the monetary value of social media interactions, these places need to own that the comment section has a factor in radicalising gullible people.

It's like when someone says "People often ask me..." - no, no one asked you that. The only thing anyone often gets asked is if you had car finance between 2002 and 2021.

She's so moronic, so I'm sure she'll have a good following.

Another good episode! I relate to the discussion around anti intellectualism. I run software companies, & there is a trend to play down the importance of university education for computer science. My experience is hires with a comp sci degree perform better. AI coding makes even more vital.

It's MAGA being told real, true facts, and trying to work out some shit that can just come out of her in response

It's getting harder to listen to with cutting off people when they're making a point.

Well done America

Everyone outside of the country has felt that way for years.

Another strong episode, with refreshingly realistic comments, Alex. People wetting themselves, screaming “cancel the visit!! Launch the nukes!!! Rejoin the EU immediately” need to have a quiet think about the basics of diplomacy. Trump says a lot, but doesn’t do a lot of what he says.

Flattery has always been his weakness. The whole situation has left me completely conflicted.

Really? They seem pretty gullible.

Imagine what would happen if someone was also testing their AI tooling to see if it can generate realistic looking emails, with completely made up details.

But being Ernest is pretty important....

Enjoyed the description of Chris Philp. I always try to remove him from my memory, but when you said “that weasel faced cunt”, that was the confirmation I was looking for.
