If I remember correctly, the preacher dies in The Devil All The Time but for obvious reasons I don’t think Pattinson would want him brought back. You could also argue Edward is dead.

I’m unfortunately not sure what accessibility options are available for Discord sessions. Maybe see if your friends are interested in a text-based campaign over Discord? I have seen that succeed for a couple groups when it’s hard to get everyone together or to fill time between meet ups.

If you’re okay with doing it online, there’s platforms like Roll20 and Foundry. Modules with all maps and creatures needed can be found for both. There’s plenty of Patreon creators that make cool maps too. Plenty of free online sources like 5e.tools, DnD Wikidot, RPGBOT, Kobold Fight Club, etc.
