Can’t wait for this book to arrive most books about Edward II are are written from a homophobic world view. The poor man may not have been a good king so what. His father was quite aware that his son was gay did he deserve having both of his lovers killed in heinous ways as well as his own murder

While I am overjoyed that the Supreme Court decided not to take up overturning gay marriage. None of us should have to use everything at our disposal to fight and shame them into making the right decision. Hopefully Kim will go back under the rock she came from never to be heard from again

Just finished this gem, it was historically beautiful, and the story was real and beautiful and heart rending and in a lot ways very poignant today. A book about the cost of love, and the willingness to pay whatever that cost might be.
