#WIPWednesday and it's Musselburgh hat time 🧶

Approaching the halfway point I reckon, and still loving this Ginger Twist hand dyed Masham Mayham yarn 🥰

I've only got eyes for one #Socktober project at the moment 🧶

The kilt sock chronicles continue; calf shaping almost done!

Frogging was definitely the right choice, I managed to close up those ladders! 🧶

After approximately 3000 attempts at casting on, my very first #MusselburghHat is underway! 🧶

Storm Amy is giving me the perfect excuse (not that I needed one) to cosy up and make some serious kilt sock progress 🧶

It's the final stages of the Peace By Piece blanket 🎉🎉

2 out of 4 mitred borders done, then it's just a case of blocking and *maybe* adding a backing.

Behold! A kilt sock!

I wanted to cast on the second sock immediately but a sock needle has fallen victim to the project and I can't find it...so I guess I'll just have to take a different knitting project on holiday 😌🧶

Slowly but surely Ruby Tandoh's #AllConsumingBook is dragging me out of one of the biggest reading slumps I've experienced and actually making me believe in the enjoyment of books again 🩷💚❤️

Thank you @serpents-tail.bsky.social for the early copy!

Word on the street is that #TheEndingWritesItself by Evelyn Clarke is set to be the big book of 2026 👀

Can't quite believe I'm reading a book that's only out in April next year but I love a locked room mystery and the intrigue has got me hooked 🕵🏻‍♀️

I'm usually a monogamous knitter but at the moment I have several WIPs on the go. The biggest one is this Peace By Piece blanket By Pattern Knits which is a (now very late) present for my friend. 50% assembled!

I recently started watching Spooks and have become a bit obsessed with spies, so when I saw @profilebooks.bsky.social were publishing The Illegals by Shaun Walker*, I snapped at the chance to read it.

I'm about 100 pages in and loving it so far!

*thanks Profile for the gifted copy 💙📚💡

A new WIP! My partner asked for some kilt socks a while back so I decided to knit some for his upcoming 30th. A friend put a new knitting shop on my radar and I went there to buy the New Lanark DK for them; a thoroughly Scottish project 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🧶 #Knitsky #ShowMeYourKnits

Finished up The Autists by Clara Törnvall this morning!

It felt quite disjointed in places but ultimately the non-UK/US perspective and the references Törnvall pulls on were so interesting that these won me over. Also what a novelty to read a book about autism by a woman and about women!

Recently went on a bit of a #RomanceBooks binge and one of the books I read was Not Safe For Work by Nisha J Tuli 🌶📚

TLDR: a really enjoyed! It was clearly written from the heart, and I found it much more memorable than Tuli's romantasy
