Passing out candy yesterday and the kids were so polite. Are kids getting nicer or am I so used to being treated like shit that any slight offering of kindness has become noteworthy?

Decided to make an angel food cake yesterday. Didn't expect much of anything except a lot of cursing and having to take the batteries out of the smoke detectors. Yet, I travelled back to 1970 to find this bundt pan and I made it. I don't know what it tastes like, but it's very photogenic.

Just sitting on the patio this morning with my coffee while angrily staring at my pepper plants that won't grow, and this floats through my backyard.
