In my school a lot of people take my mouth words at face value despite being told to listen to my spelled words.
Just like we make assumptions about the intelligence of immigrants forced to communicate in a language not their first.
Mouth words are my second language.

Until someone has a way to really communicate, take their scripts in stride and speak to them like they understand everything you say.
