My therapist told me to open this account.

Here to vent, but I promise to stay positive, duh.

I worry.
Heard about #He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named trashing #renewables and denying #climatechange again. Well, I wouldn't worry too much. The adoption of renewables seems unstoppable, perhaps because the truly growing economies have understood which energy sources are just cheaper? Who knows...

Data from IEA.

As a researcher, whenever I see news like that, I:

1. Get the actual paper.
2. Go to the FUNDING section.
3. Discard the findings at the minimum hint of conflict of interest.

The link in this case is sneakier, but beware of the #COFFEE, #DAIRY, and #MEAT lobbies, which often appear overtly.

40 years ago, nations came together to take the first step in protecting the ozone layer – guided by science, united in action. Today, the ozone layer is healing.
—António Guterres, UN Secretary General

On #WorldOzoneDay, let's recommit to preserving the ozone layer for future generations. 🌎

Figures like this one make me both excited and mad at #fossilfuel lobbyists. If a technology like #solar #PV has achieved this dramatic cost decrease without a billion-dollar industry backing it, it's probably because it's objectively superior.

Learned that some years ago in grad school. Just check the graph and remember: the vegan version of your favourite cake is probably better than your favourite cake. :)
