It was a matinee and the new folks seemed to have come from church-they ones around us likely not in the choir... 😉 Always great to have new folks (rush tickets are 1/2 off for seniors on Sunday). MKE has excellent folks doing outreach and it's working.

I LOVE your description--exactly right! There were a lot of "newbies" in the audience (including several who decided it was a sing-along), but his good humor and enthusiasm allowed me to ignore that stuff. I've played it so many times, but this was really enjoyable.

That’s one of the reasons I go to Planet Fitness. When the bros do that crap, it triggers a siren and lights. And we all get to point and laugh. They only do it once. 🤣

Our university's cafeteria (supplied by Sysco) would never win a Michelin star (unless they judged negatives).

The previous owner of our current house planted a large hosta garden out front and I laughed when I saw it come up the following Spring (we bought house in January). This year it was gone by the end of May, including the varieties they don't normally eat!

Amen. Not possible in WI (state law forbids it, go figure). But I taught 4+-4+ for 25 years in a TT position ( no TAs) and was expected to do R-1 research (which, of course, was impossible). Retired as Associate, but no regrets as my former students are awesome.

We enjoyed the first episode and are looking forward to tomorrow night. Thanks, Mr. Burns, for carefully giving credit to the individual musicians heard in the episode--nice to see!

There's a good Wikipedia article about it, I discovered. Denk got Rosen's blessing to do the thing. Who knew CR had a sense of humor?
