Since I’ve seen others doing intros, I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon.

I recently passed my PhD viva, defending a thesis on the #PrivyCouncil & Scottish govt 1689-1708, which fostered an unhealthy obsession with lord advocate James Stewart of Goodtrees! I also work on #earlymodern coal mining

I was lucky enough to get funding from this grant to attend the ICHRPI conference in Paris, 2022 & can confirm it’s an excellent opportunity! It allows for travel abroad to an exciting international event which would otherwise be unaffordable for many (esp PGRs & ECRs)
As outlined in the recent issue of #PER, we have funding opportunities available to attend our conferences.

The Helen Maud Cam Travel Grant is open to younger scholars & those without permanent contracts or other financial subsidy. The deadline for applications is 31 July 2025.

As I tested out the feed for the seventeenth century, I thought why not take it another step with the recent addition of starter packs - so, here it is, a small starter pack for all #17thC historians currently on the platform. I’ll add more as we go!
