The pain is only beginning as disruption increases from air traffic controllers not working for no pay, hospitals closing, food banks unable to handle demand, children going hungry (like a third world country), rising unemployment (federal and corporate layoffs), rising food and healthcare costs.

Thanks for your post. I appreciate your insight and experience. Yet this last post supports my post in that I think it may have been better to just leave the bird alone as its parents may have been caring for it.

Not sure how I would recognize a sick bird with avian flu. Generally not a great idea to intervene with nature. Recent info from Cornell Bird lab is not recommending taking down bird feeders. I stopped years ago; I didn't have time to clean feeders frequently. www.allaboutbirds.org/news/avian-i...
