Yeah it's becoming quickly another season where you are already wondering when April/May will come around and it's finally over. Never a nice feeling to have. One thing is for certain, summer recruitment, especially in the forward areas has been very poor. For the second summer in a row too #wafc

Today's draws for the 3rd round have whet the appetite further. So intrigued as to how Nice vs Benfica and Feyenoord vs Fenerbahce will go. Both look to be such intriguing ties :)

Thank you for your kind words :)

My interest in the qualifying rounds comes from when Partizan Belgrade upset Newcastle in the 2003-04 qualifiers for the Champions League. Always been intrigued since and you can in the qualifiers get some super ties :)

I think this too but would like to absolutely seal the deal with a home win on Easter Monday. I'd say now targeting going unbeaten for rest of the season is something to look at. 2 wins & 2 draws from our remaining 4 would be a good end & send us into summer with some feel-good factor #wafc

Agree. I hear the lack of goals concern from fans and it also worries me as well. Ultimately though the strikeforce all season has lacker numbers and quality with the exception of Taylor (who looks a shoe in for POTS). Crucial summer coming up to sort out the attack in the transfer market #wafc

Yes, we can thank Thelo and Taylor and the CBs for keeping us up basically.

Highlights how extensive the rebuild will have to be in the summer.

Agree. Basically without his and Taylor's goals, Tickle and the centre backs we would be probably bottom of the league this season. Take those players out of the side and yeah, there isn't much left behind quality wise (excluding of course those players who showed promise but been long term injured)

I agree. Large amount of injuries we have had this season suggest training & medical situation needs looking at.

Says it all that with exception of centre backs, Tickle, Jonny Smith & Dale Taylor that I cant really name a strongest starting 11 for us. So disrupted we have been through injuries.

Just had a look now on transfermarkt. In 2020-21 on loan at Swindon it seems he played every minute for them. Also an ever present for Donny in his loan there in 2021-22 making over 40 league appearances

So yeah seems like the frequent injuries have only really occurred since signing for us #wafc

We certainly miss Matt Smith on the creativity front but his injury record concerns me. Relying on him sadly just something you can't do.

Scott Smith had a good 23-24 but has gone backwards in 24-25. Agree on Weir, I'm just not seeing anything with him at all. No idea what type of midfielder he is

I just look at these players and can't believe how bad recruitment has been if this genuinely has cost a top 10 budget in this league.

Scott Smith and Harry McHugh are just a dreadful midfield pairing

Devil & Deep Blue Sea with our midfield isn't it?

Francois & Matt Smith have quality to be good in League 1. But both are very injury prone.

Scott Smith, Weir & McHugh are fit most weeks, but lack quality needed for even lower end of League 1. All 3 should be released/listed in summer #wafc

Francois' injury has had an impact. Was impressed with him so far when fit. Unlucky too his injury was a contact one in-game as well as opposed to a training injury.

Matt Smith's an interesting one. Very good player evidently but sadly injury prone as this and last season have shown.
