I would guess that over half of her constituents rely on ACA. I live just south of her district and it's an economically depressed area. If the credits expire, she might be in trouble in 2026 election.

Why can other countries have universal health care and we can't? Is it the money health insurance companies make? What if we remove their profits from our health care system?

MTG has likely realized she has a lot of constituents who will lose health care. Her district is largely rural and economically depressed. She has a Democrat running against her who is a veteran and from the district.

Southerner here. I don't have a recipe but down south, we slice okra, salt it, bread with cornmeal and flour and fry it. Smaller okra pods are better, as they grow larger they get tough.

Pete Buttigieg has been talking about this. He is advocating for us to stop trying to fix the system and instead focus on what we want, then design the system to do that. It won't be easy but it is the best way forward. We should start with getting money out of politics.

Agree. Dems don't need to be Republican lite. Progressive policies are what the majority want - a living wage, health care for all, tax the rich, remove wage cap on SS, housing and child care assistance. Dems were wrong to eject David Hogg who is embracing progressive candidates. Support Mamdani.
