Please describe a “state of collapse.” Didn’t Carville already predict collapse to have occurred 10 days ago?

Glad to know that the New Republic can speak for the “world.” Time will tell.

Matt, strong argument and I always appreciate what the Economist produces. To be forthright I am not an economist, but I have to question how one cannot factor in the US GDP index as a variable in these decisions. Its mere size compared to other countries has to be a factor.

This argument is more effective than “get your hands off our money”

Senator, I’m sorry, but if this is the best you got, you gonna lose. When you say “our money” it looks as though you are saying it is Congress’s money. Half the nation voted for against that idea. You need a better argument.

Does that mean being a part of NATO without being a part of NATO?

Congrats. Do you have an abstract of your paper/presentation that you could post or link?

But if your intention is to disrupt those large bureaucracies then are these not the people to do it? Your argument works if status quo is the goal. That does not seem to be the case with Trump.

I still feel the need to be in both places because most colleges and universities have people in both places.
November 17, 2024 at 10:24 PM
You will be needed more than ever.

One of the primary purposes of bureaucracy is to negate or diminish individual action. So it will be difficult to kill. Almost sui generis

Good article this month in the Atlantic on the social hierarchy created by the Ivys
