Still reeling from the loss of our sweet boy Darwin. Cancer took him from us at age 13. The poor little guy. We did get some valuable extra time with him thanks to medication. He made it a whole month of good, quality life more than he would have. But we miss him dearly.

Iggy on the other hand hasn't changed much in coloring. He had both spots and stripes that were very distinct as a kitten. He spends a lot of his time following Hemmy around, mimicking him. Hemmy is not always happy to have his special places taken, but he loves his little boy!

When we first got her, Blossom was very gray and pale colored! Her Torti colors have come in a little better now. In the right light, she is very orange/brown. I wish I had recordings of the noises she makes. They are VERY interesting. My favorite is when she says Brrt?

Since they were pictured in the last post, I'll show Ignats and Blossom today! Iggy and Blossom are our youngest. They were born in a colony next door. Since being adopted, they have grown close to our other cats, especially Hemmy.

They were always together then, and still are now!

One more! Hemingway was rescued from a hoarder who had between 30 and 40 cats. He loved them all! He just couldn't afford to take care of them. As a result, Hemmy is very social with other cats, and he has taken on the task of taking care of our two newest rescues.

Who are they? That's for later!

Hemingway is also polydactyl, which means more toeses! He has thumbs though, like, functional, grabby thumbs. Aaaand, more toes means more beans!

Hemingway patiently waits for his medications and dinner every day. He takes all his pills with minimal fuss! And look at those huge eyes!

Hemingway has a heart murmur and has a cardiologist to check him every few months. Apparently his heart is too big, which should be a good thing! But not in this case.

The shelter is kind enough to pay those costs for life though!

He graciously allows us to bask in his magnificence.

I guess I should start posting something here. So, today I shall begin introductions!

Me? Nonono my boys!

This is Hemingway. I adopted him from a shelter I volunteered at for a few years. They were kind enough to let me work fewer than the required hours due to my health issues.

Smug boy!
