Not on social media. I have had a couple of state reps answer emails when I had questions about their vote on something. They represented me, so when I identified myself as a constituent, they had no problem responding. Doesn't happen often though.

UHF with "Weird Al" Yankovic, those TV promos are brilliant as well.

Happened to me this morning on the way to work, first time in years. Kind of a wonderful feeling.

Not just a Nevada thing, it's nationwide. And it isn't because certified teachers are being passed over; there's a drought, fewer folks are coming out of teacher education programs at universities, veteran teachers are retiring earlier, and they're simply are not enough people to fill the void.

One of my favorite players is Ryan Howard. Had he not torn his Achilles, I believe he would've reached the 500 HR plateau, maybe another MVP award. But you can only look at what he actually did. Tragically, that injury probably kept him from reaching a lot of milestones. Probably but not certainly.

I'm not sure why injuries need to be taken into consideration. By saying, "well, his career would've been even better if he hadn't been hurt," you are assuming greatness that never happened and might not have happened.

Saw this tour in Birmingham, but saw the Document tour at the Fox. Amazing venue, amazing show!

Quite possibly the most perfect sitcom episode in the history of television.

There is a neighborhood near me where all the streets are named for civil war battles. Which is fairly odd considering I live in the part of the country that did not win that particular conflict.

You're both slightly off. True, the murder rate in Alabama is high, but claiming that it's "rural" buys into an antiquated stereotype, ignoring high homicide rates in the state's cities. Sadly, my hometown, Birmingham, routinely has one of the highest per capita homicide rates in the US. Not rural.
