It's not a "culture". It's a massive profit machine that's been enabled by our general ignorance of what the 2nd Amendment actually intended, and how we're manipulated through decades of marketing, that's deeply embedded and killing us like a Lyme disease ridden tick.

They really want you to be in debt and terrified to lose your home for your whole adult professional life. If you're in constant fear of losing your job, which risks missing a payment, then they can treat you like a slave, and you won't dare complain or cause trouble.

So they're putting the onus of repairing their image onto their employees, rather than sack the board and replace it with people who see the value in diversity, equity, and inclusion, who would write them into their company values, and publicly and proudly implement real policies in line with them.

And they can slowly change the ratio of water to soap until there's just enough to keep it lathering to make you slowly get used to using more and more, and every now and then sell a bigger bottle "with 25% more!" (water) and nobody will notice.

I am a big scaredy cat with horror, but my BF loves it and sometimes the premise piques my interest, so I join him.

I was so curious about seeing Demi Moore and the concept. I was rapt and I really enjoyed it!

And 💯 agree: it's a horribly F'd up industry 😭 and she illustrated it perfectly. 😱

What's even worse is that nobody realizes that "socialized healthcare" works the same way as private health insurance:

Collect a small amount from each subscriber into a pool, and the pool is used to pay for services.

What's the difference then?

With PI, shareholders get to take from the pool.

They said "It's settled law / it's precedent". None ever said they wouldn't overturn it. Thomas is basically saying "You were all suckers for thinking we cared about precedent. We got what we wanted." People heard what they wanted to hear, and the GOP knew they'd get away with it. And here we are.
