I think @edzitron.com called this, specifically, as a horseman of the AI apocalypse, but I don't recall where atm.

Ideally we'd also do that for home & business solar, wind on farms, batteries of all sizes, & everything else that's needed to upgrade our economy.

Just wait until someone tells them that markets work because of deliberate state interventions, subsidies, & incentives that encourage those markets to exist in the first place.

Who wants to tell him that solar & wind are cheaper to operate, faster to build, & will lower the price of electricity?

Do you think Matty can follow that line of reasoning?

This is a piece of data that's essential to my ongoing research & I've spent over a year meeting dead ends. I am not trusting something that is as hard to dig up & essential to my work to a chatbot that's incapable of saying no or giving me a reliable, precise answer.

Except for that posting it to social media means I might actually get useful information even if that information is, "huh, good question, no idea".

Unlike ChatGPT, which is guaranteed to give me garbage and waste my time.

I'll check this out, thanks!

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. What is frustrating is it is quite easy to find similar information for solar & wind but the places I'd expect to find similar data for crude oil are coming up empty.
