Washingtonians love being outside! When recreating they spend most of their time at state and federal public lands and either walking and hiking, viewing wildlife and nature, taking a scenic drive, hanging out, or picnicking and barbecuing.

This is the second fish passage project the county has completed in the area in the past year, the other was on Starbird Road. Combined, these two projects open up more than four miles of habitat for fish.

A fish ladder was added about 25 years ago to help fish gain access to the creek, but it was ineffective. It’s estimated that this work will increase the creek’s fish capacity by 21,000 juvenile fish.
